Knights of Columbus Actively Support

The former music director for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, Ryan Workman holds a bachelor of arts in arts and music from the Cunningham Centre for Music and Arts at Susquehanna University. Currently a marketing and communications executive with Susquehanna Computer Innovations in Pennsylvania, Ryan Workman maintains membership in the Knights of Columbus.

A global fraternal organization of more than 1.8 million Catholic men, the Knights of Columbus has operated since 1882 to provide resources and support for families in local communities. To aid communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Knights of Columbus donated more than $145,000 to construct an oxygen plant in Piura, Peru, which will fill 50 oxygen tanks daily. Previously, the Knights of Columbus sent more than $250,000 worth of oxygen supplies to support indigenous people in Brazil and Peru.

Along with $400,000 of pandemic relief in South America, the Knights of Columbus have committed money and resources to food banks in the United States and Canada, as well as sponsored Vatican broadcasts during Catholic holidays such as Christmas and Easter.

Knights of Columbus Sends Oxygen Supply

Based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Ryan Workman has gained experience in the political sphere during the past few years. He served as director of field operations for the Republican Party in the 2018 election season. Additionally, Ryan Workman is a member of multiple community organizations, including his current position as a fourth degree member and advocate for council with the Knights of Columbus.

Founded in 1882, the Knights for Columbus is a Catholic charitable organization participating in a variety of projects and initiatives to help those in need around the world. Most recently, Knights of Columbus sent $200,000 worth of oxygen tanks and oxygen concentrator devices to COVID-19-ravaged Amazon regions in Brazil and Peru. This decision was in response to Brazilian archbishop Steiner’s plea calling for worldwide help. Hospitals in Manaus have been overwhelmed by COVID-19 infections, depleting their oxygen supplies. The Knights of Columbus also delivered oxygen devices to the Territorial Prelature of Santiago Apostol de Huancane in Peru.

You have to fill an application form revealing personal details such as your name, address, and phone number. You must specify exactly how you can help in campaigns (knocking on doors, making phone calls, hosting and volunteering at events, or volunteering on Election Day).

You can also opt to join the organization’s Republican Leadership Initiative, a six-week program that provides training for people who want to serve in political campaigns. You will have to set aside 15-30+ hours a week to finish the program. Through it all, you will develop your leadership skills, learn how to use campaign technology, and gain experience executing voter contact operations as well as events organizing.
